Unknown Steel Cupola Caboose
This caboose is probably an ex-C&IE ( there were only 6 of them, at least 4 survive) that went to the MoPac. This one and the red one were found sitting in Canutillo, TX, at the Davenport's, 7205 Doniphan Drive.

Larry Platt General According to the MoPac caboose book by G. J. Michels, Jr. page 221, there were 6 steel cabooses built for C&EI by AC&F to the Magor C&O design, these 6 went to the MP. The main difference in the MP Magor and the AC&F design is in the brakewheel. This caboose has a vertical mounted brake wheel, the Magor MP cabs have a horizontal power brake. This could be a C&O caboose. I am saying MP based on the fact it is in Texas, which means nothing. 8/5/2015 12:22:17 AM
